Today, HP introduced a new 3G smartphone powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional - HP iPAQ Data Messenger. The front side of the device contains a large 2.81 inches touchscreen and a full QWERTY keyboard.



The touchscreen  is a TFT with the resolution of 240x320 pixels, that shows 65 thousand colors. The pictures on it look very sharp and bright, and it works very well in daylight. The phone can be connected to other devices using the latest mobile technologies as 3G HSDPA technology, Bluetooth, GPRS, HSCSD, WLAN Wi-Fi technology that allows user to wireless connection, EDGE or USB which provides high speed data transfer rates.

On the back side, Data Messenger has a 3.1 megapixel camera with autofocus, video and flash, which has the max resolution of 2048x1536 pixels.

The smartphone has the dimensions of 114x57x17.4 mm  and it weights 160 g. The phone is also packed with features as a GPS, a-GPS function, Pocket Office, Media player and handsfree.

HP iPAQ Data Messenger should be available in November 2008, for a starting price of GBP399 (US$678).
