HTC Touch review
HTC has presented a touch screen mobile phone, that works on a Windows Mobile OS. The device has the dimensions of 99.9x58x13.9 mm and it weights 112g.  The mobile phone is very similar to iPhone, not only by its functions, but by its design as well. It is a bit rounded on the edges, and its black color makes it look very smooth. It is quite comfortable to hold during usage. SCREEN, CAMERA The front side of the device contains a large touch screen, and a few keys. The keys that are placed under the touchscreen are: a four way navigation key, and Call and End keys. The screen itself is a 2.8 inch TFT touchscreen, with the resolution of 240X320 pixels, and it can show 65 thousand colors. It makes the pictures look very clear and it also behaves quite good in sunlight. The thing that should be pointed out, is the TouchFLO control system, that enables the users to open three applications: the photo dialer, and application and media launchers. It is activated by running your finger from the top, to the bottom of the screen. The device has a quite good 2 megapixel camera, located on the top of the back side, which has the max resolution of 1600x1200 pixels and it can record video clips. OPERATING SYSTEM The Touch works on a Windows Mobile 6 operating system. It supports a number of Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excell, Power Point, Adobe Reader, and it also supports Java MIDP 2.0. Regarding the networks, it works in GSM 900, 1800, and 1900.The device contains EDGE, GPRS, HSCSD. Connecting to other devices can be done by using USB and Bluetooth 2.0.  For Internet browsing, Touch contains an Internet Explorer, and an e-mail client that functions very good and has the Microsoft's push e-mail system support.The Touch's sound quality during calls is quite good, the sound is loud and clear enough, and. it contains a number of useful applications. MEMORY, BATTERY The device has about 30 MB of internal memory that can be expanded by microSD cards up to 4GB of capacity. The memory card slot is located under the battery lid, and surrounded with rubber strips, so you might be slightly irritated while trying to insert the card into the device. The battery on this device is really awesome. It can last up to 8-9 days in standby, or up to 5 hours of talk time. Considering the number of applications that are found on this device, a camera, touchscreen, it really lasts for a long time. The HTC Touch is a really great device that will surely be a big opponent on the market to the iPhone.
