E790 is a new fashion mobile phone from Samsung. It is an overlap model with a quite good design, and a number of interesting details.

DESIGN

E790 is a very good phone with great design. It comes in black and silver color combination.

The whole front part of the phone is covered with a semitransparent plastic which is metallised, so the whole front part of the phone can be used as a mirror. Under the plastic there is a Samsung logo, in the middle there is a monochromatic OLED external display and above it there is a camera objective.

The rest of the phone also has great design, and so does the keyboard. The phone is small, it has the dimensions of 92x44x16,5 mm and the mass of 82g.

SCREEN, CAMERA

Samsung SGH E790It has a big TFT screen with 176x220 pixel resolution and it shows 262,144 colors. The picture quality, animacy and intensity of the colors are high classed.

The novelty on this model is the screen theme that places different pictures on the screen, depending on the location of the phone. It is called "Living World".

Every state is represented with a different photo, like London Parlament, Russian Kremlin, Paris Arch of Triumph. While travelling through different states, the picture on the screen also changes.

The camera has 2 megapixels. It has the max resolution of 1600x1200 pixels with digital zoom and effects.

The quality of the photos taken in ideal lighting conditions is very satisfying. Every picture has its day or night version and it changes depending on whether it's day or night. A part of "Living World" function is a clock incorporated into the picture and different ways about informing about SMS's, missed calls or different events.

MEMORY, APPLICATIONS, BATTERY

E790 has 80MB of integrated memory, and it can be expanded with microSD memory cards.

The phonebook has the capacity of 1000 names, each name entry may contain up to 5 numbers, e-mail address and text note, you can assign a picture, a photo and a melody, including MP3.

It also has user groups, own call signal and an icon for a group. The battery is Li-lon 800 mAh and it lasts for about two days with a moderate usage - telephoning, SMS-ing, photographing or listening to the music.

A nice design, very good applications, and adequate price will surely attract you to this mobile phone.
